It'd almost be worth it if they'd throw in a smallish nuclear reactor to power the 1500 watt power supply.

Ouch, that's not working for free.......IMHO, If you spend 5% (a lot) of your gross income on equipment, you need to gross $160,000.00 in order to purchase one. It may stay state of the art for a year, and ahead of the curve for 2-3. If you have purchased an i7 in the last year, you need to wait at least another year before thinking about upgrading, unless the new machine will open new markets for you.

Very true. Buying a computer is always like throwing money at not so distant obsolescence.

Up to 5 years ago, and virtual PC, I had a DOS PC on my network. Now DOS lives on my VPC. Don't ask why, maybe it's like owning a Mustang. I also have my original floppy drive IBM PC, with its green monitor. It boots Dos 5.1, runs lotus 123, and Multimate. Sigh!

So, do you have to run a hose from the sink for the water cooling? πŸ˜„

If you are asking me, no, but as you might guess, prior to vpc, the network did not use ubc.
