      Hey everyone,

This is my first post! I am a newbie when it comes to Sketchup and rendering engines πŸ˜„ Basically i have been experimenting with a lot of rendering plugins/programs to see which fits me best for decent photo realistic renders. I came across Twlight and downloaded the demo and i was very impressed however it seems to have an issue with rendering PNG images which have to been applied to my model in Sketchup (File>Import>Image). I have simply just imported a transparent PNG (contains a word) image an 'stuck' it onto the side of a cube. When i go to render this you can faintly see the square out line of the PNG and also the letters in my PNG image have a slight shadow applied to them?

Has anyone else had any issues with the Twilight renderer and imported PNG images?!

      Really appreciate any help πŸ˜„

Unfortunately Twilight doesn't [yet] cope with png 'Images' very well!
However, if you select the imported image and explode it [right-click context-menu] it becomes a face with an applied material - it should then render correctly. If you png has feathered 'edges' you might want to edit it in an image-editor [P'shop/Gimp/etc] to remove those, as 'halos' can be caused this way...

WOW that was a quick reply! Thanks very much. That does work to an extent however when i explode the image it then disappears or doesn't completely lie flat on the surface it was previously on. It kind of 'flickers' as i navigate and move the camera!? Is there anyway to get around that?

Sorry for all the questions but i also tried the Indigo Renderer, also very impressed but my images i import do not appear in the renders? I know i really need to look into it more but do i have to create special 'materials' for these images to render?

          Thanks for your help! πŸ˜„
