      aces,

for the benefit of many people here, could you please post the images directly? posting thumbnails with links to imageshack results in many people not being able to see your images. this is not the first time we have problems with that service at SCF.

If photo real is what your aiming for I think you need to desaturate the colors. It is almost glowing with color.
I actualy thought you were purposely going for this type of look and it does look interesting. Kind like a poster.
For more realism you need to sweat the details...like the grass between the driveway pavers would be wore down from driving.

I like them like they are...they are viberant!

yes, I know... but the architect insisted she wanted to see the lights in daylight... do what... she is the client 😄

ha, then you did good...the client is (almost 💚 ) always right!

hmm... what exactly do you mean? Remove 90 degree angles?

I meant like this - this is what I am used to but maybe you have different architecture in your location?

any tip on how to dirty up the cladding??? One of the reasons I try to project tree shadows on the walls is EXACTLY because I think the walls are too clean! Without the shadows it gets worse!

This is usually done in post-processing, unless your render engine supports layers (then you can overlay a grunge image over the siding) This step actually takes a lot of time, personally I wouldn't do it unless you're going for ultimate realism.

do you mean the vegetation NEAR the house or the vegetation in the background??

On house two, the little background shrubs repeat...even scaling them randomly would help
On house three, the red/green plants are identical...change scale similar to the green shrubs near the chair set 👍

Where are you located? This is obviously associated to imageshack.

hard to say if they are common or not. I think Edson has more to say about it (I am from the same area as he is).

but I didnt projected the houses, and the client (architects) who asked for the renders never mentioned wanting those trims, not even after seeing the final renders.

people, I returned from Carnival holiday just yesterday night, so I will attach the images today, for anyone having problems. Its just weird to me that some people cannot see the images. Imageshack NEVER asked for me to register to see images (from any computer, seeing any photo), specially because it IS a site made to host photos and show to others. Requireing registration would make no sense.

I am not sure location should be a problem too, since Edson lives some 35km from where I live.

                      Really nice renders, AcesHigh!
I like that extreme greenness of the grass, even though it's a bit surreal. But the trees are very dark in comparison. Try to make them work together more.
Als there's a little tree next to house two, that is more mature than it is big. A tree of that size would look more spriggy.
And if you would want to use a grungemap in V-Ray, you can use the 'TexBlend' for the diffuse colormap. Or just make two diffuse layers of which one is semitransparent...

Your buildings seem to need some visual or physical transition from hardscape to softscape. Your edges seem they need softening to better resemble reality, unless the builders in your region cut everything with lasers.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
