New Layout book
-
Just in case you didn't catch it, Bonnie R. (3divinci)came out with a new layout3 book. I have been avoiding layout-having a bad experience with early versions (like a number of people on the forum), but think it might be time to take the step. I downloaded it yesterday. This book seems to be a good way for me to jump in.

I have read some of the 2009 posts on layout. I wanted to ask a question that may have already been addressed, if I may. I was given Version 8 Pro, and my goal is to create working drawings of woodworking projects, like "exploded versions" with the dimensioning lines and all that, so I can take the printout to the shop and make whatever. I have some books and don't really see this "blueprint" approach addressed.
Is it possible to create such a drawing with what I have?
If I buy Bonnie's "Lay Out 3" do I need to buy Lay Out 1 & 2 first? I have her Recipes book and find it well written.
Thanks, ocd.

ocd,
the "layout three" book takes you from the beginning and covers all features with good illustrated examples to walk you through. You don't need the earlier layout version books.

Thanks, I just bought it and am waiting for the link to download. Good thing I love books...

I emphatically recommend bonnie's book. LO stood in my HD for years without use. after I bought her book and went through the exercises its usefulness became clear to me and I started using it for all my presentations.
