Hi Guys,
Just noticed on the News that Google has purchased Dublin's tallest office building for €99.9M. The 67-meter Montevetro building in Dublin's Grand Canal Dock district has 15 stories, 210,000 square feet of office space and can house about 2,000 staff.

pocket change for them... probably less than the monthly electric bill for one of their data centers... I'm amazed at the purchase power of that company.
-
Why do I never hear about such business and investment opportunities beforethe actual sale?
-
So that's where we're all moving to when they finally get their act together..............

Anyone interested in working for Google in Dublin can send their CVs to Mike.

Google gearing up for the tablet wars.
They started taunting Apple already.
-
Google demo'ed a new app for them called "Goggle" today on CNN the big I. Basically, take a picture of something with your phone camera and Google will use the image to do a websearch for related stuff. I guess they will fill the new building with servers wall to wall roof to basement just to handle the datasearch. No room for people, except custodians.

They should take a fraction of that money, and invest it in SketchUp development:-)

They are already taking a fraction of that other money and investing it in Sketchup development.
-
Guess they are not spending it in the areas I am interested in. Such as ruby API for LayOut, multi user interface with entity locking, debugging and expanding the sketchup ruby API, and better texture controls.

Well, I didn't mean to sound rude. I agree to an extent. I just believe with a big operation like that, they have a lot of irons in the fire and plenty of squeaky wheels
