THe plugin Egde and Lib are installed properly
Are you still using SketchUp 8 as indicated in your profile?
How exactly did you install them?

When I use "Find all edge gaps", I see the circles. And I can click each one and repair. But, due the large number, I then use "Close all edge gaps", and none of the gaps are closed. Should "Close all edge gaps" close all gaps identified by the "Find all edge gaps"?

Did you also install the current version of tt_lib2? It is required for Edge Tools to work. And did you install SketchUp 2020 correctly by right clicking on the downloaded installer exe file and selecting Run as administrator from the context menu?

It would be cool to have the same tool names in the toolbar and Preferences. For example: a tool called "Split faces into multiple pieces" lives in the Prefs hotkey list as "Divide faces" and I couldn't figure out it's the same thing. It is very confusing.

Hi.
This is a very useful plugin that I use everyday, however I would like to modify just a little thing that I think might be easy but I don't know how.
When I click the icon in the toolbar to DIVIDE/SPLIT faces, the line created is always a regular line. So far so good.
However if I assign a shortcut to DIVIDE/SPLIT faces, the line created is a construction line -- I have to use CONTROL to change it to a regular line.Is there a way to change it so that the shortcut command also creates a regular line without need to press CONTROL?
I know it's a nitpick, but maybe it's something easy to change in the code, if you could tell me what line to change.
Thanks in advance

Would this be the best tool for...
-Imported CAD DWG (General Floor Plan) into sketchup 2016
-Most walls are not a single line from corner to corner but 15-20 segments from corner to corner.
-Can I window the entire drawing - Run the edge tool, and each wall run will just be single lines?
Thanks Mattee -

It probably will but it might weld edges you don't want welded, too. Corners, for example might show as softened when you raise the walls to 3D. That can be fixed but it would be something to be aware of.
Generally I find dxf and dwg files are so sloppily made that I rarely ever use the geometry directly. I find it's usually less work to use the import as a reference for drawing my own edges without all those breaks. My geometry tends to be cleaner. Once I've finished using the import for reference I delete the component and purge it from the model.
