On screen component report

Is there a way to have a report of how many of each component there is on screen at all times e.g. in bottom right of sketch. The idea would be to then use this information to create a quote based on how many of each component there is?

Not on screen, but you do have File > Generate Report

You can of course use the type of data prepared for the 'Generate Report' and make that into some 'screen text'...
There are several examples of scripts around that 'apply' screen-text, and of course even more like ComponentReporter++ that can shown you how to extract more than enough data for you to use... All you need to do is combine the necessary bits of both coding examples and you have it - I suggest top left rather than bottom right since the length and number of lines can be more readily accommodated...
