Once in awhile it seems like it takes forever to send an e-mail even if there's no attachment. It isn't consistent though. I usually take it as a sign to get up and go do something else for a little bit.

Same here, at times, chugs along one day the zips the next.

Still the email client around though! (in case they're watching)

60 seconds would be quite annoying, even 5-6 seconds seems like eternity sometimes. Something is definitely wrong. (I'm at 35% of my capacity.)

How true. And how interesting that just a couple of years ago, we would not have found any issue in waiting and waiting...

When I wrote my thesis in DOS WordPerfect in 1990, it was a computer with a 40 Mb ( MEGAbyte) HD and a 10 MHz ( MEAGAHz) cpu. It took a whole night to print those 100 something pages on a matrix printer!
          😲

Boy do I remember, I drove to Portland Oregon from Central B.C. Canada for a 40 Mb hardrive. People were asking me what the hell I'd need that for 😲
I also remember pushing the screen refresh on my Cad software to get a screen redraw, then go get a coffee while it processed. I'm definitely impatient these days.

Oh yeah. And once we made an appointment, we were supposed to show up. Nowadays I just call from my cell phone.

LOL, I drove 300 Km in the mid 90's to pick up a Pentium 1 chip-set and a Voodoo card because I could not wait 3 days for the shipping, what totally drove me bonkers was when Windows 95 was released (same day around the world) lining up at my local computer store all day waiting for their stock to arrive, only for them to run out four people before it was my turn.

At least you were wearing your AC/DC shirt right?

The odd thing about my Gmail is this slowdown has been constant for a while. Not fast then slow etc.

What's the name of that worm that hit the Iranian Nuclear Industry?
