Hi to all:
can someone take the Idea of Elisei and replicate his method of creation and share the model? I have no success try to attempt this. I hope someone take the challenge and make the same result of Elisei, since is probably out for Christmas. Thank you again to all that will try and share the model results.
Thanks.

Hi kalu, I like your wall panel project - gave it a try with a different approach:
Merry Christmas to all!
-
Thank you shura...
-
Oh,there you go,you got ur free cookie..grab it,,see you next time for a free cookie.
Nice one shura .
-
Hope kalu will show us some of the results here or in the gallery
Would also be nice to hear if you could reproduce one of the two methods...(sorry, I couldn't stick to pedagogically useful behavior - heck it's Christmas, innit? )

Sorry do I miss something here?... I do not ask for a free model. I've looking for a method to create the same result of the image. What I got is a "Romanian way" explain in romanian witch almost all of us does not understand and some very helpful comments of some way to createe the model. Sorry "ely862me" I have no money for you, this is a forum to share knowledge no to show who is the only one can make a model. I contribute for some time in the forum but you can keep your precious model for you, I hope you can sell it. I don't think that is a lot room for you here in this forum for share.
If you want to be consider in this forum, ask questions and "share" maybe does not exist that word in your language? or yes?
Thanks again, I hope some other people keep posting Ideas, thank you "shura", I practice your way now, I keep searching for more ways to create the same effect.

Let see what is the problem ,where u get stuck.
I email back and forward with Eli and he only want to show that he can make it, for the rest of us we are looking to understand hies way. If you are so smart replicate his model and share with all, after all as I explain to him I do not paid for money for models in Sketchup forum because is not what I try to accomplish. I share and learn at the same time. Better, make a step by step tutorial so all can make the same 3d as the Image that I posted originally. I ask for a clear process in "ENGLISH". I think this kid "eli" need to learn a couple of things related to the whole basic Idea of what is it a "forum".
I hope you understand.

Hi solo,
I ask the same thing and I put 2 days in this matter and I can't get the same results but I have many PM from Eli just tell me that I do not want to work, so what is the deal with this kid?...

No hassle guys, my point is that kalu has yet to tell where the difficulty is? Having Eli supply what we need to know may still not provide the level of info that the general user would need. I was trying to get kalu back to where he was originally, and for the members to help him learn. You only learn through mistakes
I'd prefer that this type of organic shape is discussed and given different methods of creation....
For example...
drag this image into SU
Use thomthoms Bitmap to Mesh to create it....
Use Polyreducer from here maybe?
This is an option from someone who has knowledge of plugins and techniques etc... We need to know kalu's user level so we can help from that level.
I understand kalu frustration, but not his outburst? Eli's a valued member and invested time and effort to produce the model, plus offered to help kalu? Most of us see the challenge but not user's problem...

As I say to you I put 2 days in this without any good Idea and I tell Eli that I have no clue about the process and he only made bad comments about me tell me that I am lazy. When I ask for the process he just ask for money, so I do not understand where he stand in the process to learn.

Edit*
After reviewing the PM's in moderators forum, there does not seem to be any indication that he asked for compensation.
-
I Use thomthoms Bitmap to Mesh also and I came to the almost the same model that you show but I will keep looking for a different way. I hope all we understand ELI's way. I keep try. When I will arrive to the closest way to create the original model I will make a Step by Step tutorial for all. I am not selling 3D models, I am an Architect.
-
Kalu, I tried one way to help you (as per pm), tomorrow I will give it another go and show you if I succeed, I do it as a Moderator and a fellow Sketchupper, I need no compensation I do it because I want to help.

Solo I really appreciate your words, but most important I learn from you and many others to create and sharing knowledge. Don't worry about this post. I am glad you understand what I try to accomplish, not for myself, not for sale, not for pride, just for all. Thanks again and don't worry. I will keep try.

My dignity has been touched!
I received 5 message in a row from mr kalu,i responded to 3 of them and i didn t asked for money in any of them.
I' m not stupid, don't take me as one,i will call trial over this matter.
Although you(mr kalu) sent me private messages I will post them here ,including my replay. You agree with that mr kalu?Let's make light in here!!You call me ''kid'' but who's acting like one?
I am very reluctant to people who show no result at all..they just try for ''hours''...Sharing my model for you will be for no help, because it is a final model, and you can't learn a thing from it,but just use it.

It's be better to resize the bitmap down first. That's effectively polyreducing it. You can usually get quite brutal with the resizing. Keep the original size in the scene and apply that as a texture on top of the mesh created from the smaller version.
