[WIP] Bugatti Brescia Type 13

Keep it up. This is great work. I like the B&W image above as well.

Hi there,
Nice work ( whereΒ΄s the like button? )
Seriously, I am a huge fan of such vintage beauties. Just thought maybe you could find something useful here ( especially on bugatti forums, there are also some free ebooks available )http://www.bugattibuilder.com/forum/

Mate like Eric I love the B/W's! Though not sure about the bitumen road, seems out of place. The B/W coming out of the garage is seriously superbe!!!!
I'd love to see you turn one of the B/W's into an ad with the full works, fonts style, price! Priceless I reckon!
These little projects are the stuff that keep us alive!

Thanks for the feedback guys. This is a painfully slow model as time to play is hard find. To those who PM'd me with some excellent links to more pics I thank you again...
Rebuilt the whole front suspension system based on those links and it's spurred me on to finish this once and for all.
-
Your last render image are incredibly nice, congrats for the modeling work too...
-
The last sepia like render is great. This is the concept IMO.
-
Thanks Fred and Mick( )
That is really appreciated
I will be sharing the model when complete for others to work their magic. But i do like the pseudo clay/cartoon look too

Me too. It concentrates on the details much nicer than the renders. -
Ok,now u re coming along ... it s gonna be a sweet ride!
-
Same here. It is a real pleasure to follow this thread. Excellent work, Rich!
-

Jaysus, looks who back! Where you been hiding? Or is the Jagermeister and RedBull dominating your student life

The latter is true but I have had so much uni work on and other projects hardly been able to do anything fun-wise with sketchup. Hopefully this christmas break will let me do some new stuff fingers crossed?
Car looks great anyway, im not a fan of the default tyre material in thea either its not very good is it, love the blue paint now with the map and reflections on!

Thea Clay Render
Line Overlay
FotoSketcher (DaveR setting)
Will I ever get to finish this?
-
Hey! That's really cool. How come you get better work out of it than I do?
-
Well, you have already made it to "Most impressive SketchUp modelling". Rightly.
And it just keeps looking better and better! A kind of work I like the most ( with all due respect to "organic" stuff ) -
Too white
-
Maybe a slightly dark white would be good.
It looks great to me but I'd like to see the car in a blue instead of black. And I think you need a little fill light on the tires (or just make them a dark gray instead of black).
what are those two marks above the light on the left side of the picture.
And now guess who is depressed.
-
Those floating anomalies are rivets that I was playing in SU but forgot them. Nice spot!
The tyre material is Thea default rubber. Need to play more with it. Suggestions welcome.
The seat are shit at the moment but I've no time to play these. To busy planning world domination.
Thanks for feedback
-
I was hoping the seat is a stand in. I hope someone who knows Thea will chime in about the rubber. I think of it from a purely photographic perspective. If I was losing the tires off the bottom of the range of the film, I would get some light in on them somehow. The side walls need something, too. Maybe some ribs running round the tire. How about whitewalls.
