SketchUp on a second computer
-
What files besides the plugin directory would I need to copy to a second computer so Sketcup would work the same. Toobars in the same place, same shortcuts, template etc.

You can export your shortcuts from the original computer. Go to Window > Preferences > Shortcuts and look for the Export button. Save that file to a flash drive or whatever and copy it over to the 2nd compter. THen go to the same location in SU and press "Import" and find that shortcuts file and import it. Then your shortcuts will match.
The templates are located inside the main SketchUp folder. Look for this sub folder:
\Resources\en-US\Templates
Just copy everything in there over to the new compter. Though if you have not made any new temapltes yourself, then the other computer should already have all the same templates. To activate the template you want, go to Windows > Preferences > Templates and click on "Browse" to browse through the templates folder. And select the one that you are using on the 1st compter.
As for toolbars, I do not think there is a perfect way to get them to match up. Its probably easiest to just move them around yourself. Good luck,

obviously no help to you but just in case a mac user wants to do this, sync these files:
via - Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Google Sketchup 8 > SketchUp
%(#BF0000)[plugins
Components
Tools
Materials
Styles]via User > Library > Application Support > Google Sketchup 8 > SketchUp
%(#FF0000)[Shortcuts.plist
Templates]via User > Library > Preferences
com.google.sketchuppro8.plist[most of these are obvious as to what they will do and all of them aren't necessary.. the last one (com.google.etc) will sync toolbar positions, startup template, units, etc.]
