PC System Info

Is there an easy way to collect all of the system info about one's computer into a text file of some sort? I can see the info but can't copy/paste it.

You need 'Speccy' by Piriform Dave.
http://www.piriform.com/speccyMakers of Ccleaner and Defraggler.
Great little tools.....
All I did here was a screencapture of the Summary page.
Hope you're well, mate.

Thank you, my friend. I'll give that a go as soon as the manual for my new, old slide rule finishes downloading.

Speccy worked great. Thanks for the tip, Andrew.
I was sent this old K&E slide rule by one of my clients. It belonged to his father and I've figured out that it was made between 1925 and 1930. Cool thing is it still works. My client thought I would have fun teaching my son to use it. I think I will. We're going to skip multiplication and division using a table of logs though.

Another informational application you may be interested in is Belarc.com
Free for personal use. It basically? gives information on such things as hardware, software, versions, security updates and reports the location of the various applications. It will print the report just as seen on screen.
May not be what you want, but I have found it helpful over the years. -

cool, I love old things. It's always interesting to compare similar products nowadays and how they have evolved.. [or not!]

I agree. And I really like old stuff that still works or in some cases works better than what you can get these days. My dad has this great old toaster that does a better job on bagels than any other toaster I've seen. He won't let me have it though and I haven't found another.
