Laminated object modeling
-
Has anyone done this or does anyone have any ideas ,After a model is created using free shetchup how can it be sliced on the z axis from bottom to top and then convert the geometry for each slice to hpgl plot so that each slice represents a layer of paper or card and then using a plotter with a knife instead of a pen (vinyl cutter)have the plotter cut out the slices which will be glued together to form the actual model, any ideas ?

My 'Slicer' is designed to do just that - it lays them out 'flat' but you do need to set up the printing to scale part yourself...
