Mulitcore Multicore Multicore
-
Hi everyone
I know that its been asked for, but please please Sketchup could you get Layout working on Multicore computers. It is criminal that my large Layout file is taking H O U R S to work on my Multicore Mac Pro!Message from me..... MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE
Please all others who feel the same add to this post like a petition!
Thanks
(PS - this is not to say SU and LO aren't great, they are, but they are so SLOW) -
Then why ask multicore? When you take your car to the mechanic, do you tell him what you think is wrong, in which case you're guaranteed they will perform that action and have you pay for it? Or do you give them the symptoms and let them improve the situation, which will result in most cases in a smaller bill. See Jeff's post in this thread on 9/9: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=30586&p=270259&hilit=rendering#p270259
We hear you, and repeating the request ad nauseam will only make us put out a call for Miss Sweetie Poo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAnVNXaa5oA.

LO was MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE (it rendered in the background while you worked)
on Windows in version 2.0. It had to be removed for technical reasons in v2.1. Do you know how many people noticed that it was
MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE MULTICORE?
ZERO! -
Sorry I have seen multicolor
-
Oh, we fully support multicolor
-
Maybe it was so slow in multicore that nobody realised it was.
I have a mac, so i've never seen multicore LO.Please, don't take this that I don't LOVE SU and LO - but they are causing me to pull my hair out being so slow! I'd just love for SU team to rectify!
Thanks

Yea, but what isn't slow. In a previous life I wrote software for Service Bureaus (RIPs, large format printing), and when you're doing big jobs like this, it's slow. We're trying to make it look easy, but it's not.
