Assembly animations

Hey all
I would like to create assembly animations of mechanical components and was wondering has anyone achieved this with Sketchup along with another application.
I'm looking for a good quality production, not rendered but a crisp pictorial style.
Any suggestions, add on software recommendations or examples would be gratefully received.

SimLab Composer v2.2 is currently in closed beta but it does have animation capabilities. Check it out!
