Is there a plugin for exporting to open exr?

I dont think so. As far as i know there arent any methods in the api that allow you to capture whats on-screen, so its pretty unlikely such a plugin could be written at the current time.

But you can export as PNG and then convert it to openEXR with another application like this

You could perhaps automate if with Ruby API for the PNG and auto-make/execute a CMD/BAT file to convert that to EXR...
