A plug in to make roof tiles

Hi I want to make a suggestion to make a plugin that makes roof tiles some thing like this

It's pretty easily done using premade roof-tile component[s] and a script to place instances of it at spacings across a face - i.e. a roof plane. You'd need to specify the 'eaves-line' [horizontal] on the plane, and eaves-overhang, ridge-setdown, the batten 'gauge'... It's also tricky to trim them into unique components at hips and valleys... but not impossible.
BUT the cruncher is... adding this much geometry to your model will kill it!
Why not use textures for roof finishes and a few detailed roof-tile components in separate skp's as 3D assembly details if they are needed...

Yes you are right, I have a hard time trimming all tile pieces, they were components.

I'm planing to 3D print the Roof(tiles).
This is why it would be cool to have a Roof-Tile Plugin.
