I need help, is it possible to bring back any hidden lines (the second erase function) without using undo?
Thanks I have been trying to figure out how to do this for a while!

Switch on menu 'View' > 'Hidden Geometry'.
You'll now see hidden and smoothed edges dotted [each has own dashed pattern].
        Erase+Ctrl = Smooth
        Erase+Shift = Hide
Select a hidden edge and get 'Entity Info' [right-click context-menu]...
You can now set its various properties in the dialog - by un-checking/checking the appropriate boxes - e.g. 'Hidden' - then it will change...
Now switch off 'Hidden Geometry' and you should now see the edge that was previously hidden restored to being visible again.

Thanks Dragoon, for asking this, and thanks to TIG, for answering it.

As many times as I've looked at "hidden geo", I'd never noticed the difference in the lines.

can you not also select the hidden items as a selection set and either right click select Unhide, or, if the right click menu does not contain Unhide, then you would select from top menu Edit and select Unhide?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.
