Sharing Camera angels / saved scenes?

Hello all, I'm a new guy to the forums.

My question is:

Is there a way to save camera locations and focal length (Field of View) of some scenes I've saved from one file to another?

And pat "B" of that question is, is there a way to "undo" the creation or deletion of a scene? I've been unable to figure those out.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Hi Freddie,

There is a PageExIm plugin ("page export/import as up to SU 5 scenes were called pages) at Smustard.

I did not know the answer to your second question so just tried and creating/deleting scenes doesn't seem to be possible to undo. Interesting...

On the "Part B" of the matter - I regularly delete the wrong scene, and have been closing the document without saving, then reopening, to get it back, hoping there is a better way, but perhaps not

Sounds like you could just copy the model which has the scenes you need, open it and Import whatever other model you want to use the scenes.

This is the basic function of Templates (Window menu > Preferences > Templates) in Sketchup. (see also: File menu > Save As Template.)

Deleting the correct or incorrect scene is just a matter of figuring out how the scene manager works. And its pretty easy. Just select the scene to delete, then click the big minu sign button and that scene will go away. you just need to know which scene you want to get rid of.

Hi folks.

To add to Chris's post, in the Scene Manager, you can CTRL-click on sucessive scenes name to select them. CTRL-click an already selected scene will deselect it. Then, a press on the minus sign will erase all the selected scenes in one go.

Just ideas.

I have tried to use the PageExlim plugin from Smustard, and cannot get it to show up in my Sketchup. Im using Skp 8 with Mac OSX v1.6.4.
Anyone else have this issue?

Is it in the Plugins folder?
To check the correct path try this in the Ruby Console:
Sketchup.find_support_file("Plugins")
It is found under the 'View' menu [NOT 'Plugins'!]: have you looked in the right place?
