I know that I just want to someone see the options that are in MAX or convert the material since I try using max 9 and the converter to vismat and do not work, so I like to someone with more knowledge do the job and make a sample to be downloadable for all in the forum. I try also to replicated the settings but some are missing in vray for sketchup and I am lost. I hope someone like you can do that?...

      Thanks...

            • Make diffuse 100% transparent
            • Add a Fresnel reflection layer.
            • Add a Refraction layer and adjust the glossiness to less than 1.0. Maybe try something like 0.6
            • Set the Refraction Fog colour to tint the glass. Use a very light colour and possibly reduce the multiplier.

Note that this requires that you have "thick" glass in your model. You can't get this affect with just 2D faces as glass.

By the way, what version of VfSU do you use?

Also, have you looked at the V-Ray materials available from ASGVis? http://software.asgvis.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=57&Itemid=439&Ctitle=Materials

                Hi thomthom:

I use the latest version for VRAY for sketchup and I get this results not what I expect. Can you modify and place here for all?....

I attach a sample of the model plus the vismat that I create...

                  First off:
HTML code doesn't work on this forum. You need to use BBCodes.

                  Second:
You can upload files directly to your post. Notice the Upload Attachment tab underneat the text area.

                  Then for your model:
Your materials was somewhat odd. You had a sky texture in the diffuse..?

I made a new one. You can see in the screenshot what is the important parameters to check to get glossy refractions. (You might want to add some glossiness to the reflections as well.)

                  reflect.png

Also: your test geometry was very thick. The blurriness of the glass will be affected by how thick your geometry is. So when testing for glossy refractions, always model your test geometry in the correct thickness.
You see in the model I replaces it with a 20mm thick sheet.

Isn't there anything at the ASGVis site?

Also, in the ASGVis forum there should be some threads where people are sharing vismaps.
