Another new user posting a hello to introduce myself to the community. Hi!
To keep this post from being boring, a question if I may. Is there an area on the forums here about websites that actually use work done in Sketchup as part of the website theme layout?
I'm not sure that question makes sense, but I have been working on doing this myself and thought I'd look for ideas from others who have come before me and found this forum.

1.By website theme layout do you mean using SU output such as 'export to 2d' jpeg's/png's etc and implementing them into website as banners or tiled backgrounds?
2.Or using models/renders etc as a means of demonstrating portfolio?
If it's the second option, you'll find loads of sites amongst members signatures etc. but not a dedicated forum as such. Although there was a Beta Portfolio forum awhile back. As for the first option, i'm not too sure?

No there is no specific section of the forum about website design.
Check out this website, all the illustrations were done in SU.

Chuck I can't really tell what the image is showing. Do you have one at a read-able resolution?

Yes it's a real website, it's actually a vbulletin forums. I can share the link, but you cannot see much as a guest. infoprosjoint.net
(I've been keeping this "secret" if you will, until it was ready for the world to see)The picture is only really showing my Sketchup model beside the live forum. I didn't make it large as I'm still a bit apprehensive about the whole idea itself. That idea being, slicing up my Sketchup model and using it for the theme layout.
My ultimate goal here is, get my community involved using Sketchup, offer up additions to the idea and I'd add them to my main model. Reslice/update the forums layout.
It might seem a bit silly to some I think, but I had a dream about this several years ago after a long day of playing in Sketchup. I've been working on figuring out exactly how to do it ever since.
I've done it now, and I've opened it to my registered users. (My site has been around for 10 years in many forms) And I posted what my intentions were here with this project to them.
iiiit's not going so well as far as feedback goes.
So, I thought I might come and ask you guys who actually use Sketchup for some thoughts.
If one of you would like to see it up close and personal I'm not against creating an account for you to login and take a closer look.
What I am concerned about is falling on my face with such a crazy idea. Hence my comment above:
