Group.copy fails
-
That would be a serious flaw. I've copied Groups in that way many time without trouble (that I know of.)
First thought is usually "Who's plug-in has changed the default behaviour?" and my reply is "Hopefully, not one of mine!"
-
group.copyreturns a group in my tests... -
and the winner is sketchyphysics!

i started deleting plugs until etrude worked and its SP. tried on both installs deleting and replacing... i'm not sure which version it is but its from 6/27/2009
my other install of SU had SP from 3/10/2009 i guess that ones ok
-
can someone tell me what this is now? got it since i've been screwing around so much. did a reinstall/repair but didn't help.
-
So, to recap: it seems that SketchyPhysics in some recent form messes with
group.copy???The file
c:\windows\SKPLib80U.dllis only referred once on the net within a Trojan test...
It might be a SP lib ?
Don't know what it is at all ?
When do you get the error - when starting SUp ?? -
yes it was SP everythng is fine now!!!
yes the error was starting SU but i went into preferences and re-enabled all the plugins and it went away.
-
Searching the code for SketchyPhysics, I don't see it as being the culprit. I've notified Chris to see what he thinks.

I've looked too and can't find anything... there is
group.definitionand various extragroupmethods, but none that should clash - weird or what ?
Xrok1 found that with SP installed, he couldn't getgroup.copyto work at all it kept returning Nil ! BUT after un-installing SP it all worked OK... -
Could be an observer interfering?
