Is there anyway to "un-divide" an edge? I get this problem when using the follow me tool a lot. Afterwards, the edge it creates is broken up into itty bitty bits. Anyway to glue them back together?

If the line is actually linear, ten you can just draw out a small line segment from the break point and then delete. That will "heal" the line back into a single line. This will not work if it is not a truly linear line though.

Yea, I had that work around going on straight lines, but I am needing a way to do curved lines after a "follow me" action. It is really slowing me down. The workaround is selecting bounding edges then deselecting what is not needed for the "route"...but sometimes that is not possible.

That does not seem to work for me Chris, whether I continue in the direction of the existing bits or change the angle of the next segment. I remembered there was an easy way.... (other than weld.rb (?)), but it is lost to me now.

edit: Oh... draw the new segment from an internal break point...of course.

You could always use the Weld plugin and see if that un-divides the lines. You also may want to look at Fredosix's plugin called Hover Select. It allows you to select all the lines of a curve even if they are divided.

I will look into that Earthmover, thanks for the tip.

brookefox, what do you mean by "draw the new segment from an internal break point" ?

Weld will only "weld" those edges (so you can select them as one entity) but will not remove the segmentation. There is a "repair broken lines" plugin that Jim is suggesting here:

But I cannot seem to be able to access the Ruby Library Depot ATM. This would indeed "heal" these divided edges.

Draw from a break point away from the outer ends, not from an end end point (on a segment not attached to another at both ends, but rather at only one end).

Thanks Simon. It is actually on and off nowadays and sometimes it works sometimes don't.
