      Hello!
Is there a way to animate components in google sketchup 7?
In my model I've got 4 components and 3 of them fit in 3 special slots. I want each of those to move in this slot by an animation. Getting some help/advice would be very nice.

        Hi Starney,

There is a plugin called "Sketchy Physics" which you can use to animate your models wonderfully. We even have a subforum for it that you can access from the main forum index > Extensions & Applications Discussions > SketchyPhysics.

See this perfect animation of the tank's wheels and tracks made with this plugin!

You can also animate components using Dynamic Components [DCs] [you can use them in any version but you can only make them in Pro] - there is a sub-forum on this too. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewforum.php?f=289

Or if you perfer a more simpler way, try Proper Animation or Mover, both are the same but try both. If you want more complex animation you should check out animation software.

Getting the perfect sig is hard...

            Google it!
