      I've the material editor like the attached image.
      Why must it be double? Is it right?

        If you look at the top right corner of the Material Browser dialog there is a toggle button - yours is showing a '-', if you click it the second lower pane will 'rollup' and disappear - the button then becomes a '+', you click that to get the second lower pane back again - it's a 'toggle'.
        The optional second pane is found in several of SUp's browsers and is there to help you manipulate collections of materials [in this case] between folders/the model etc... However, it is usually left rolled-up πŸ˜•

            It is a handy thing sometimes as you can easily drag and drop materials from one window to the other (say when you have just made a new material of an imported image from scratch and want to keep it in one of your libraries)
