Woodworking ruby.
-
hello
I am sorry, for these inconveniences.
I am going to work again on it.
My ruby is also poor as my English... -
menfin, excellent work! I loaded the plugin and it seems to work well. The only question I have is it appears like I can only input integer values for the diameter and depth of the hole. How would I input for a 1/2" diameter hole?
Thanks again for your efforts!

One can make the lengths independent of the units. Internally Sketchup uses inches. I read the value into a string then convert to internal with string.to_l with seems to work for me. Europeans have not complained. This should take no matter what you units are set to, into internal inches.

Hello,
Thanks.
J have made a new attempt, by hoping to have respected your remarks.
if you want to try again.
Has to use with precaution. At the bottom of the page, before comments, new video, new plugin
-
menfin,
I just installed your new version of your drilling ruby. Works great!!
Will save time in laying out those book shelves. I would like to figure out a way of getting a suite of commonly used wood working tools all in one place. The kind of tools that furniture makers would use on a daily basis.
Thanks for the effort. -
I am sorry.
J ' have still found a problem.
I shall post a rectification tomorrow. -
Here is the last corrected version.
I hope that it will be good. -
Menfin, thank you. From a quick test, this plugin does seem to be good now.
Thanks again.
-
Menfin, I also checked out the plugin again, and tried several different scenarios, each seemed to work well. thanks again for your efforts.

I cannot get this to work. I create a component board, edit, place construction lines, close, select, open the drilling and milling ruby, enter anything and it does nothing. The other wood working drilling works fine.
Edit: figured it out! Thanks.

For the ones that does not know, I have found at the same place a very usefull ruby script called "Coupe Angulaire" that would stand for "Angle Cut"
-
Perfect and very needed! Thanks! There is also a dovetail plugin!

I tried that page but my French is not good enough to see where the download link was for that ruby - can you post here s'il vous plait!

Hi Dermotcoll
If go on that page and goto Sketchup link on the left, you will have the choice of some very interesting plugins.
For me 3 of them are very interesting for woodworkers like me
one is "Queue d'arronde" which allows you to create a drawer with dovetails (If you need translation for the parameters windows, just let me know)
The second one is "perçage" for making holes. Usefull when you have to create many holes like for Shelving adjustemt
And the third one is "Coupe angulaire" or Angle cut. It allows you to cut a piece at any angles like a molding at 45 degrees
All theese plugins have a small vidéos showing how to.
Some have an english version. Whenever you see "télécharger xxx" it is the link for upload the pluging

Hello,
There was an error, we could make a good drilling only on one face of the volume.
It is now possible on every face.
You can download the version 04_03_en.
Please make a test.
