Can't orient texture properly on an arch
-
Hello everyone. Pretty simple question that I can't quite figure out yet.
I have two stone arches and I'm trying to texture them. The large arch's texture is orientated the way I want, but the smaller one is rotated 90 degrees. I'm assuming there's no "right-click>texture" positioning command because it's a curved surface?
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

Any advice?

Hi Greg, enable "hidden geometry" under "view" menu. Then rotate 90° a single planar texture surface of your arch. Pick this rotated texture with your eyedropper and continue to paint the contigous surfaces. SU will "remember" the correct position of the rotated texture.

Amazing. Worked PERFECTLY.
Thank you so much for your advice!

Hi Greg,
Note that if you want a realistic arch, you will need to also texture the vertical faces around the opening with the material somewhat radially positioned. Have a look at this tutorial that shows similar results (with bricks but eventually it's all the same):
