Spacebar woes

reinstall?
dunno, that would drive me nuts too.. fwiw, the spacebar works fine for me.
maybe delete the preference list and relaunch SU? (user/library/preferences/com.google.sketchuppro7.plist)
or,
delete the shortcuts plist? (user/application support/google sketchup 7/sketchup/shortcuts.plist)
[edit- oh wait, did the spacebar act like that since you installed sketchup or did it start acting up after a while?)

The spacebar works fine for me.

This seems to be a Mac issue.

Hi troyhome,
This is actually an issue with Mac settings for keyboard shortcuts. If you go to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts and change the setting to "All Controls" then it should get you back in business.
-
Occasionally have situation where spacebar tap will not exit Rectangle tool.
There is another default shortcut for Select on Macs also, Command / -
Thanks, Jody.
I've been frustrated with this on my mac @ home.
As you know, I haven't had any issues on my pc @ work.
-
Jody - that does seem to help in most cases. I do still get the Model Info window popping on using the Spacebar when working inside a group or component. Don't have time right now to properly trouble shoot the issue.

I just checked the keyboard shortcut preferences, and it is set as indicated.
It has not solved the problem for me.
Mac OS 10.4. SU 7.1.

The same has happened to me a few times. I find that opening the Disk Utility program (found in Applications/Utilities) clicking the hard disk reference and running the Repair Permissions routine does the trick.
