This extension is now included in BezierSpline 1.4

BZ__Chamfer is an extension of BezierSpline which will draw a Polyline with chamfered corners, which you can specify the offset (distance to the corners). Note that the chamfer is drawn only if there is enough space on the segments.

    This comes from a request by elcorto(see http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=21550#p181292 )

As the polylines remains parametric as long as it is a curve, you can later change the parameters, and move, add or remove vertices.

Finally, as for other extensions of Bezierspline, you can convert any Sketchup curve into a Polyline with Chamfered corners.

To install, drop the BZ__Chamfer.rb file into the BZ_Dir_12 folder, and the png files attached into the subfolders IMAGES_STANDARD and IMAGES_CadFather.

This extension is integrated in the main release of BezierSpline 1.4. See this [url=http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=13563#p100509:m2hlfz6e]this post[/url:m2hlfz6e] for download

Thank you Fredo!!! Another great tool!!!

              A question...
I always see different and separate tools for round corners in 2D and round corners in 3D. Can be possible a single all-purpose round corner plugin?
For example your RoundCorner plugin... if you try to round lines or faces (In 2D) it says invalid. Can your RoundCorner plugin incorporate your polyline arc corners and polyline chamfer for these invalid cases?
It´s difficult to me to explain this in english but the idea would be that if you take the orange icon and you try to round lines or faces (In 2D) will make a fillet (polyline arc corners) and if you take the green one and you take a 2d face will make a chamfer.
