I do not think such a ruby exists, if so please guide me to it as my search failed.

What I need is in the material editor to be able to click on a texture (right click would work) and in the options to have one where it selects all of that texture in model by selecting the faces with that texture on it.
I do know that you can do this by selecting a texture on the model and right clicking then selection all of the same material but what happens when you purge a model and there is one tiny face with a texture on it that you cannot find?, then selecting it in the material editor will highlight it so you can find it and change it correctly.

    Hope I made sense.

Hi Pete, you can do that already as long as you are in the "In Model" collection of materials. Once you click on the in model icon, you should be able to right click on any of the swatches and choose "Select".

It seems like there might be instances where this does not work or something though. It might well be buggy and in need of a ruby to help make it more effective.

If you have applied a texture/mateial to a face you might also have it applied to edges in which case they might go 'un-selected'...

Tig, you have hit on the real culprit, so when I purge all and lets say there is a texture on a line somewhere, what can I do to find it and change it?

Maybe a ruby that retextures all lines to a solid color? then one can re-purge to rid the model of the lingering texture.

I got a plugin to remove all edge materialsfor just that purpose.

I routinely use it to clean up models.
