Could you please do this for me - just answer the very first that comes to your mind immediately. No pondering or looking up any references.

IMPORTANT! Don't read the other's replies before you post! I don't want you getting affected by anyone else.

What do you think of when you hear/read the word:

    1. Design
    2. Designer
    3. Architect

    Just making some buffer space.

    Some more...

      2. a Gay guy who rearranges furniture and uses the word "feng shui" too much

      3. A person that sees the world in 2d, also the guy that the framer blames whenever something goes wrong.

          1. something, however bad, that looks good in 2D on paper

          2. someone who prepared (1)

          3. people who in the 1960's designed all the high rise crap we're having to pull down and are currently designing houses with garages too small to get a car in and open the door to get out!!

Design - to trial without assembly

            Designer - textiles

Architect - undervalued but at times overpaid

Design- Something that should be critically considered when anything is created

Designer- a person who's work may include a broad spectrum of products and services including but not limited to architecture

Architect- A person who's education taught them to think critically but somehow got caught up in Voronoi tesselations

I don't know about you, but I didn't read anybody else's, and that's what came to mind. (just a bit of humour at the expense of the Voronoi crowd) 😄

Design: The product, either documented or executed, of a series of thoughtful decisions applied to the stated or implied needs of a person or group of persons. A product of a creative process.

Designer: A person or group of persons practicing design, which may be architectural, interiors, engineering, apparel, landscape, graphics, product manufacture, and so on. A person utilizing a creative and practical process to produce a design.

Architect: the term from either Latin or Greek meaning the chief technical person of a team of technical persons involved in Design, specifically, Architecture of the Built Environment, but could be applied to other areas such as computer industry.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

                      1. Design

The attributes and elements of a 2D or 3D object that define its aesthetic or functional qualities. (including character, emotion, meaning, purpose etc.)

                      1. Designer

A person who is in charge of developing the unique qualities above.

                      1. Architect

A person who designs public or private buildings or spaces.

I didn't look yet but am wondering what others say.

Design: informed, creative endeavors by mankind, including industrial, interior, automotive, fashion, etc, which usually transcend the practical.

Designer: One who creates designs (see the definition above).

Architect: A professional who designs man-made spaces, and is cognizant of life safety, use and behavioral issues associated with architecture, materials, and the importance of the built environment.

Design: Another word for making things up...but with angst.
Designer: A guy dressed all in black.
Architect: A guy inspired by FLW who ends up designing little boxes…on a hillside…and they’re all made out of ticky tacky….and they all look just the same.

Frank Lloyd Wright, Thomas...before your time (and mine actually) 😉
Pete Seeger's before your time too.

The Mastaba is the human manifestation of the horizon, elevating the horizontal plane that symbolizes human existence. Architecture is the the Mastaba, Architects are the keepers of that process that includes the likes of Michelangelo. They are the Architectural Designers.

Of course, there is a distinction between Architecture, and architecture.

And of course, representatives of any other trade like to see themselves in a similar light. Only difference may be that they make smaller things which not necessarily obtrude in others sights unavoidably. 😄
