Rectangle, dimension order

Some time back I asked what the order of the dimensions was in the VCB when you dragged out a rectangle. To keep the question answerable, I limited it to the 3 orthogonal planes. Was told that the order was r,g in the rg plane, which I didn't believe, and the others went unanswered. The following may be the answer, but I'd feel a whole lot better if a genuine, Googly-authoritative source would confirm or correct it.
The longest dimension is first. My test:
Rectangle, then Pushpull a box, roughly cubish. Turn it so that a corner is facing you and you can Rectangle in the rg, gb and rb planes. Rectangle in each plane a long, narrow rectangle. Watch the VCB. Rectangle another in each plane, but reverse the long/narrow size. Again, watch the VCB
Finally, drag out a long/narrow Rectangle in each plane, but then adjust your drawing so long becomes short and narrow becomes long. The dimension order reverses when you pass through square. At least it does for me.
If you're not Googly-authoritative, but can simply confirm or deny this result, please add your .02. Thanx.

I just did a quick little test. Dragging out a rectangle from the origin and orbiting as needed to get the rectangle oriented along the various combinations of axes gave me this.

I can get each of those reversed by drawing a longer rectangle in the second dimension.

The cube makes it easy to draw rectangles in each of the three two-axis planes. As you drag out these rectangles I think you'll always get [length, width] in the VCB.I'm a little hesitant to rely on this as it isn't documented.

If we didn't rely on (many) undocumented things, there wouldn't be need for a forum.
