Very dramatic skies - there is soo much contrast and detail they don't look real ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

They look like HDRI images to me. I love them!

The images are enhanced but does not take anything of the drama and beauty. In the last image you are almost thinking the mothership will land any second.

Those are stunning. Im going to have to see if i can find a good excuse to squeeze something similar in to a render.

So what causes the sudden appearance of a new cloud formation?

                Just monkeying around....like Monsanto

Those are not real (meteorological) clouds but the smoke the UFO's exhaust. It's especially apparent in the last image where the ufonaut is probably trying to slow down abit and you can see the red lights through that "cloud"

Very Tolkien. I'd swear they were CGI if I hadn't occasionally seen stuff like that myself.

The cloud people need to keep their jobs relevant. A new cloud is helpful in this way. That last picture is fantastic. Hey, I read Virgil. The description of the sea near the beginning of the Aeneid is one of the bits that I still remember (well, I don't remember the actual Latin lines).

You join the "Cloud Appreciation Society" and work your way up. It takes a lot of time lying in fields on your back.

'While free from care the other day
Beneath the verdant shade I lay
I said, "How glorious here to lie,
And view the Wonders of the Sky!"

(And so on, not quite Virgil. Supposed to teach you not to mix up lie and lay. I don't know the author.)

"I've looked at clouds (life) from both sides now."

She looked at all sides of the issue but still comes away only with the illusion (from seeing through the senses, self, ego, desire) and feels she doesn't know the truth in the end. Such is Maya.

or she saw Ice Cream Castles and it's really water vapor and dust particles. Take your pick

Here is a shot I did a couple of years back. I did it with a small consumer camera and PhotoShop. I shot the sky in four parts stitched together. However I did it twice. One set was exposed normally. The second set was underexposed to capture detail in the brightest part of the sky that was burned out in the "normal" exposure. Then I took the two stitched images and layered one over the other. Next I erased through the top layer to reveal the detail captured in the second layer. This essentially captured what my eye saw, but my camera could not do by itself. There were hints of the blueness and the yellowness, but I wanted to see what would happen with manipulating the the color saturation so I added blue to the blue side of the sky and yellow to the yellow side of the sky.

Then I grabbed my dog Toto and headed for the storm cellar.
