    Okay,
how did this happen and what is the fix?
I have dimensions in SU, they "read" like they are there in LO, i.e. when I highlight them, but when not highlighted the leader lines disappear and do not print either, is it a "depth" issue, i.e do I need to bring the text "more vertical" on the drawing in SU?
And it seems possible but check the "red arrows" in the pic, that seem to reference a detail on a specific page number,
is it possible to do this?
I have yet to figure out how to do this as I am just discovering the nuances between the two programs.
One other specific issue is there a way to WYSIWYG, between text for SU and LO? as you can see in the pic, the text does not always locate where you want it to be and scaled correctly. And this becomes a time and hassle issue as I am continually having to reference back between programs to see if the text work in the current version.

Red, the little red arrows are named after you. ๐Ÿ˜‰ they indicate that the boundning box around the thing they are referring to isn't large enough. If everything shows that is supposed to, I expect you can ignore them.

As to the missing extension and arrow lines for the dimensions, I'm not so sure. Do you have Parallel Projection chosen for the scene in SU? I've not had any problems like that before.

The text in SU to text in LO is a little bit problematic. For my use, I find 6 pt to be fine for dimensions. They look great in LO but are unreadable in SU.

Sorry, not much help but maybe it's slightly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. ๐Ÿ˜„

I don't have a guess why the lines are missing. Can you post an example
        LO doc showing this issue?

As for text matching between LO and SU. SU has a bug in the
Windows version where the text font is scaled by 72/96.
This bug has been there a long time so it was left there
to not break all the existing SU models. So getting text to
match SU is not possible on Windows. I don't want to hack
LO to match SU because then a 12pt font won't match a native LO
12pt font. I suggest playing with the font properties in SU
to see what works best for you. For instance if you want a constant
point size, pick "Size:" in points. But if you print at many different
scales, choose "Size:" in height, so that when you zoom your model
the fonts will zoom with the model.

thanks so much for the help,
I was hoping that the little red arrow meant that the symbol and number corresponded to the "mother symbol" on another page, i.e. viewport detail...is that possible in SU/LO?

            Red,

As for the red arrows on text....try rt click....size to fit........to lose the red arrows!

            RE: Lines Missing.
I am assuming you are exporting to .pdf @ Output Quality = HIGH.

I have had "losses" of sorts using high quality setting.......and now always export to .pdf Output Quality = MEDIUM......with good & consistent results.

            Alternately:
You may also want to experiment with the raster/vector/hybrid settings to see if these change your results.

            Best,
            C

            EDIT:
As for the text in SU...Vs...text in LO......I would say you need to experiment some with the text height vs points in SU.

I prefer using the font heightset somwhere between 3" & 6" depending on the drawing scale set in LO........again something to experiment with.
