What what what?! Paintbucket on steriods?
-
I just noticed that the Paintbucket offer more functionality when pressing Ctrl,Shift and a combination of them. Paint Connected with same Material, Paint All with same Material and Paint All on same Object with the same Material.
I've only noticed the dropper tool before when you press Alt. But never these other features. New to SU7, or older?
This one is one major Duh! for the duh thread.
-
Its been around since at least SU6, dont know about 5 and below...
-
Duh! These paintbucket variations has proven itself instantly very useful.
-
I knew other tools had modifiers. Just never noticed the Paintbucket's...
-
As far as I can remember it has been around all along. At least since version 2.
-
Put this one in the "Duh" thread!
-
And here is the SU Guide > Principal tools > Paintbucket tool. The Guide hasn't changed much since version 5 at least (there are still outdated references in it).
I talks about adjacent fill, replace, adjacent replace, sampling and all... I's really worth a duh (although admittedly I don't use them too much except for the sample tool which doesn't only sample the material itself but the UV mapping, too).
-
I found out about these modifiers via the Instructor Window. just open it under window and then click through all the tools.
thus I also found out about the smooth/hide functions of the eraser tool. -
May I also bring the "SketchUp Quick Reference Card" into your attention? It is very brief (one page) but lists all the mod keys for every tool as well (in case there would still be something to be surprised at)
