Dpi resolution in Layout2
-
IĀ“d just want to know which resolution (dpi) correspond to the three selectable settings (High, medium and low) that affects the final print output.
Anyone knows it? -
In LayOut 1, we had 300, 200, 150, 96 and 72 dpi. Too confusing for some people who hadn't done DTP.
In LayOut 2, we split Edit and Output resolution to have their own settings, High = 300, Medium = 150, and Low = 92 dpi ? (I believe; I'll confirm that).

I'm also wondering about this. When printing to .pdf is there a way to print as vector file rather thank dots?
Thanks

No pdf vector plotting, at least not with the software I use. In addition, unless you have a vector plotter (drawing one line at at time), you are stuck with dpi. Your monitor is probably under 100 dpi, and anything above 300 (for me) is takes too long (and uses too much ink)to print. Great commercial printing is above 2000 dpi, but we are talking about the most expensive glossies. If you print on regular to good (not great) paper, 300 dpi is OK.

You have to select Hybrid or Vector rendering on each SU model. Anything in LO that's
Vector based is also exported as vector to pdf.
