      Does anyone know how to make the shadows face sun feature of sketchup face me work with v-ray?

          And in this image the shadows DO NOT face the sun. Also I'm not sure why the alpha doesn't show up in the view above this post.

            V-Ray does not work in the same manner as SU. In SU you can set the shadow to always face the sun, but V-Ray can't do that.

            Not sure why SU doesn't display alpha but V-Ray does though. It's usually the other way around as V-Ray doesn't read the alpha channel automatic.

              The alphas probably don't show up because they are v-ray materials. 😠

              Time to dust off photoshop... 😉

                im having a bit of a problem with 2d people and vray. I place lots of 2d people just to discover, after a long render, that several of them lost their texture when rendered (appear as flat color)

                  What format are the texture images? Might be that they are of a format which SU supports, but V-Ray doesn't.
