Log home design

Making the logs profile is easy enough, but how do i apply each course to the design? Is there a way to make a log profile once, then keep copying from that?
Are their any good tut's on log home design?
How about end grain and log textures?Thank You

Make your logs as components and place instances of them. If you have a few different lengths 'make-unique' an instance of the first one and change it as required - you then have two different length logs (perhaps add each ones length as a name suffix ?). Alternatively you could make a dynamic-component with the notches at the ends, but so thst it stretched its middle to suit - then one component would do all...
There are several log cabins in the 3dWarehouse - download them and get ideas / pinch bits...

As for "keeping copying them", scroll down to where it talks about Linear arrays here.
