We have an exciting announcement to make on Cadyou today. Three months in development alongside the main website we are releasing our first Sketchup Plugin, "Scanr".This free plugin turns any optical mouse into a small 3d scanner which can be used to directly import physical objects into Sketchup! By accessing the data directly from the optical sensor we are able to use patterns of light and shade to accurately produce 3d geometry simply by slowly moving your mouse around an object.
