It was on a tight deadline, and this was completed from start to finish in less than 40 hrs.
You mean 40 hours from the start of modeling to final render? Not bad at all
Congratulations! It proves again that SU can fit into a workflow of a professional CG artist.Tomasz

Ramy
welcome to SCF
I commented about these images on another thread, however I must repeat that it's an awesome render, and equally a fantastic model.
This is inspiring work and serves as a benchmark for me to strive towards.
Having said that I need to make only one crit and I feel awful for mentioning it as I can not do better, the caustics from the pools reflection on the roof/ceiling is distracting, they just do not look right. The water on the other hand is just perfect...nuff said.

Superb rendering. When the file opened I could smell chlorine
-
Ramy, thanks for posting this. It's truly a beautiful render.
I just had a look through your portfolio on your website, and I am in awe. -
OMG, is it real?
very realistic renders!!! compliments
-
Hi Ramy and
to the SCF...
That sure is a really impressive portfolio you've managed to make on your website...
Are all really made in SketchUp...??
Or is it just this pool scene..?? -
Here's Ramy's 3dsMax rendering blog - http://3dsmaxrendering.blogspot.com/. Lots of good tutorials on there.....thanks for all the work you put into those! I'm ready to switch over to mental ray after seeing all your work!
-

-
great work ramy, very well done!!

Ramy, what a fantastic rendering! I'd say superb, but I am wondering where the half-naked people are one would expect to find in such a setting.
-
Nice work, Ramy!
Thanks for sharing, Jon! -
Simply awesome, the modeling and rendering, hard to look at not realize that it's not picture. That water is incredible.
Mental ray is that some kind of psychic rendering program.
Best,
-
Whoa.
-
Amazing speed amazing renders in other words excelent job!
-
Thanks for all the comments and kind words! Everything was modeled in sketchUp except for the diving platforms, diving boards, lane donuts, and water. They were modeled in 3DS Max 2009. Of course I could have modeled them in SU but I already had them modeled in Max.
-
that water is just ridiculous!! awesome job throughout...really impressed.
-
Lovely work mate. I thought I had already commented on it but then realised I hadn't.
Thanks for your blog work and sharing the mental ray love.
