Ah! hehe ok then.
What version of V-Ray for Sketchup do you use? And which vizmats is causing problems? Where did you obtains them?
-
VRay 1.0 got the vismat from http://www.material-db.com/.
This one doesn't work. (Plus a few others actually..)

Thx for the help! -
Quite possibly it's because you're using the original version which isn't compatible with the SR1.x versions.
If you point me to one specific I can download it and see if it runs on my computer. I'm running SR1.5 (1.05.30) -
Its the Furry Carpet under Cloth/Fabrics..
Cheers!

Just downloaded and installed VRay V1.5. Does the render make background black for you?
-
hi chango70,
It's a problem/bug of VRay I found out a few days ago.
It occours when exporting a LINKED material and trying to import it. For there's no SketchUp-material that the vismat is linked to, SU crashes... sometimes.. most of the time..
So what I did is: not to have linked materials exported.I'm fixing the "furry carpet" right now.. when you check back later today it will be updated.

Yes, by default it does. They changed the default settings so it doesn't use the Sky or the Physical Camera. To use the old default settings load the 'sketchup_default' setting.

Cool! Great to see you are actively developing the website content. Hope more people use it.

Thx for the reply. I was too hasty as it came as bit of a shock to see my rendering go black. I am beginning to figure out the settings now sorry for the bother.
