Anyone know how to sort the Subcomponent list? It sucks when you have repeating SC's that are not next to eachother in the list.

      Thanks,

I think exploding and making the geometry a component again is the only way to re order the components. I might have missed something though.

I'm not so sure you have. It would be nice if there was an 'up' and 'down' button set to re-order them πŸ˜’

I agree, and it's on the list. Thanks for the request.

I love it when people pile on to feature ideas that they agree with. Helps me prioritize stuff. πŸ˜„

It would also be nice to be able to do the same with layers.

It would also be a nice touch if it was possible to easily control the order of the input boxes in the 'Component Options' window.

                    I agree.

The only way to do it now is to name your custom attributes with intentionally alphabetical names. Hardly intuitive.

Particularly when you decide to add one and have not allowed for it in the previous naming 😞

Thats how I end up with menu variables with names like this:

                        Aroofline
                        Btrim
                        Ccolor
                        Dlength
                        Ewidth
                        Fheight

And then if I need to insert something between A and B I do:

                        Aroofline
                        ATshingleType
                        Btrim
                        Ccolor
                        Dlength
                        Ewidth
                        Fheight

Yeah, its not my favorite method of organization πŸ˜„

An equally unfavorable way to re-organize sub components is to drill into the the parent shell (or whatever shell you want to organize), select and cut (not copy) the sub-comp, and right away do a "paste-in-place" without closing the shell. Do this for each sub-comp on the order that you want them to appear. Each time it is done, the cut-n-pasted-back piece will show up at the bottom of the list, at least that is how it is working on my Mac.
