View component size?

Is there a way to get an overview of the size of components in a model?
I have two almost identical models, one at 5MB and a newer at 19MB. I checked all components I could and if necessary, recreated them in low poly version, deleted all superfluous materials, but still cannot get the file under 12MB. There must be a culprit somewhere, how can I find it....?

Hi B.,
Can any of the remaining materials be the ulprit? I mean if there are n imported materials that are of big file sizes maybe?

B.Odd question: have you tried 'Purge Unused'?
Window => Model Info => Statistics => Purge Unused.Wo3Dan

I use the PurgeAll ruby.
I tried to analyse the file by exporting selected layers to fbx format.
The building itself is 17MB, furniture is 35MB, plant material is 71MB. No particularly large jpgs have been exported. So I definitely have to do something about the greenery.I have applied a rather larger (0.2 MB) 'grass' texture to all plants, could that be the problem?
Thanks,
B.

The grass texture shouldnt cause a problem, U should only save it once in the model.

it is a bit long winded. but you can right click a component and "save as" a seperate SketchUp file. then you can check the file size. doesn't make sense of course, if you have lots of components in your model
