I have a bunch of plants that I want to drop onto a terrain I made. I saw a ruby here a while back that drop the instance at the intersection of the surface.
Could someone please point me in the right direction? I tried doing a search, but there is a million searches with "drop" in it.

      Thanks.

Could this Drop plugin be one you're referring to?

I knew it was that one. For some reason mine was not working right. I re-downloaded it and replaced it. Works like a charm. Thanks.

Great to be of some help. You could also have a look at this one, Smartdrop.

                Hi
Perhaps you could try component spraytool.

                  hi,

i also do have a dop question. back while i was using sketchup v.5 i used to use a plug in to project my lines onto the terrain. the lines would get the shape of terrain and intersect it. now i did find some projection tools but they go perpendicular and its not the way i want them to work. i did download the "drop.rb" but when i put it into my plug in folder and open sketchup i cant see the drop option in my plug ins. can some1 help please?

                  thank you.

I didn't really get into SU5, but I wonder if you're perhaps referring to the drape / stamp tool with the terrain modelling section of SU6.

yup actually i was talking about something like drape, but it doesnt work when i created a terrain w sandbox and then explode it.

i do wonder however why my drop.rb doesnt appear on plugins i m pretty sure i m doing something wrong but cant figure out why.

                      tyvm for checking out juju

Drop doesn't appear in the plugins, it appears in the context menu (right click) of selected geometry.
