I'd like to be able to save material assignment states within scenes.Just like in max. -
I'm not with Google. But I'm curious as to what you mean by your request. What is it you want exactly?? I don't have that other program you mentioned.

It's like savin' a scene but in addition it'd save material\block assignment+ other technical information.
Now I think it'd better NOT to link it to specific scene.
P.S. Saving named selection states would also be nice.

this could be part of a huge animation plugin for SketchUp - with dynamic blending of colour/texture during playback...
