Sorry if this is a repeat question,

I have a city block drawn. Next to it I have a topography map drawn. How to I add the drawing to the topography map?

i suggest you watch the videos on the sandbox at google, go-2-school and youtube (sketchupbasecamp). they should answer most of your questions about it.
