what renderer are you using? indigo?
you model looks to me to be a very stylish book case with lots of light emitting books on it.
      i like it.

          Very nice Plot-Paris πŸ˜„

And I see you are using Indigo Render. And a fine render it is.

I didn't know one could use an image as emitter. Learning every day.πŸ˜„
Did you just make a textured SU material into an emitter by double clicking and assigning blackbody?

Nice renders jakob, i like the iphone ones as well.

If you want to get big pics on here you'll nee to upload thme to somewhere else and then link them here using the [img] tag. Give us a shout if oyu have any trouble with this, it can be a bit tricky to work out the first time you do it.

If you want to see his pictures and they are just coming up as red crosses you can just right click on the crosses, click on Properties, then highlight the web address, copy it, then paste the address straight into your web browser.

sorry, I am at a complete loss - why is this happening? did I do something wrong?

when I copy the link in the properties (right klick) and paste it as new url, the images are integrated into the post, but not before that...

what do I have to change? I am desperate for help 😞

you could also remove the img tags so there's the link alone.

or you could upload the image with ImageShack.

I uploaded the images to a picasa web album. shouldn't that work the same way? the pictures are definitely online (you can see them by following the link after all)

how do you other guys do that?
[Edit] I changed it into links now. but if you klick on them, they dont work - you have to select the url again and press enter to see it. strange 😞

                                thanks for the kind replies.

kwistenbiebel, this isn't an image light. the cubes are 3D objects with red plastic on extruded faces (I violated the zorro ruby to create them πŸ˜‰ ) and an ordinary blackbody light on the remaining faces.

but indigo does indeed allow textured lights (look at the example of my personal big iPhone πŸ˜‰ 😞

ps: how do you get pictures showing up full size here in the forum (mine are allways rather small...)

thanks, remus. ok, lets try linking a picture to picasa...

                                  http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/9995/tripodhotelmv2.jpg

[Edit] obviously this didn't work. how am I supposed to embedd the link into the img tags?
[Edit]thanks, remus. now it is working - indeed easy, when you know how to do it πŸ˜„

by the way: this is not really a perfect example for the use of S&S (it was only used to smooth it a bit, but didn't influence the shape itself).

I want to live at the top floor (and ask kwistenbiebel to do the interior design πŸ˜† ).

I did not dare do design the developement of the building though - a lift will be quite tricky to install πŸ˜•

I had a look at imageshack, (when my boss wasn't watching for a minute) - and it is working! at least I hope it is. can you see the images now? πŸ˜•
