Nice start!
Keep the models and put some proper materials and bump maps in.
Greetz, Fritz
very nice work! could you eventually post what the original vary output looks like?
@scostumato: you should not quote a whole post...
Sketchup is probably not capable of displaying the amount of geometry in the
exterior pictures (especially the grass), but I'm not sure if the grass in this pictures
is actually CG or post-pro in Photoshop.
The second picture is absolutely possible.
For the backgrounds: shoot them yourself!

Thanks solo,
Na, no OCD.
Was just bored of playing XBOX the whole day...
Still a long way to go.

Have been sick, so i had some time for a minor update!
I think i will stick to airplanes in the future!
Too many try-and-error pieces on this motorcycle,
especially the welding seams and getting the chain around the chainwheel.
But I'm kind of pleased with the results, so far.
What do you think?
Greetz, Fritz
Just finished the brake discs.
Maybe, i could do a tutorial on the spokes some day.
I'm getting the feeling that this project could take a while....
So much technical parts that should be modelled properly on a bike..
Greetz, Fritz
Was really busy lately, so not very much progress....
Decided to do modelliing in clay.
I will work on the materials later.

Here's an update. I made spoke wheels for tubeless tyres.
The allignment of the spokes did cost me some nerves.

Here my first render of my cafè-racer in progress.
It will be an oldschool bike with a parallel twin engine.
I try to keep this thread updated every day.
Greetz, Fritz
Okay, this pictures look stunning!
Vray is my favorite render-engine. But the post-pro in Photoshop is done great.
The light-tracks and glowing sunset look great.
By the way: How did you do those tracks?
Greetz, Fritz
Hi tensai,
this is some nice work you got there, especially the interiors.
In the first model, you could a little more fur-action.
The fourth picture - to me - looks unnatural.
But still: very decent work for your first post in here.
Greetz, Fritz
P.S.: What did you model on your own?
I decided to start a new project after a long time.
This should bevome an air race-Focke Wulf!
Progress of the first day:
I think I remember this room from some kind of vray interior tutorial!
Am I right? But the picture looks nice, also if it has a little too much green in it!
Greetz, Fritz
Just a try for a quick benchmark test of my father's new PC!
A quick studio setup with two rectangle lights.
Took about 40 min (800*x) in vray. Thought it would be faster.
Tomorrow I will try a glass material. That will give some nice caustics.
Also tried Jade, but I can't get that damn translucency thing to work in Vray.

Thanks for the links numbthumb!
I will try something tomorrow!
Greetz, Fritz
Thanks guys!
@numthumb: I allready thought about a render up in the air! Im searching for a good HDR and background image!
