HA...that is awesome! I love his 10 gallon hat.
Great work
I was nosing around Warehouse last week and came across his work. Very impressive and quite unique. I love art and he has some great works in there. I wonder though, what would prevent someone from downloading his models and saving and printing their own copy? Obviously morals, but who on Warehouse has morals?

Most impressive. Any chance a clay rendering or two could be done? Keep us posted on your progress.
Glad to see you here D. Funny thing is, I'm half tempted to go home and try your sandwich. Doesn't sound half bad because you know, the stranger it sounds, the better it is.
Whoa...I'm thinking gingerbread style house...you know...something to sit on the counter or centerpiece of the table...not actually BE the table.
Christ...that's huge...but I bet at that scale, you can do some nice candy detail work.
You know...I'm seeing it now...Christmas Vacation anyone???? Looks awfully similar to the Griswald's home. Now I know why you did it that size...so the little green army men you plan on placing around it and diving through the windows will be to scale.
Either way...kick ass.
WOOT WOOT. Love it! Is that flat black on the top section? If so...very nice. The gold Volk's (they are the real deal right?!) look sweet and are probably the crazy lightest wheel I have ever picked up.
Oh man...you make me want to get out in my garage and finish working on my Z. I've only had my Z on one track for fun and that was Laguna Seca...which was crazzzzy fun.
Anyway, nice job!!!
Yes, I agree with Monsterzero. While it does contain inaccuracies, it can probably be more defined as art, such as a bronze statue of balls and squiggly lines. The fact that the art is made from the solar system doesn't mean its wrong or inaccurate. What if the planets were made square or the sun made from one of those giant stone balls that sit in water and has water cascading down it like at DisneyLand? Adding facts as MZ has mentioned would make it a learning experience too. Perhaps plaques set into the stone or something.
To me, this is very creative and unique and I would find it very interesting as a piece of art. I wouldn't find myself measuring the distance from the earth to the sun and trying to figure out the scales just to see if they are off. I would find myself sitting on a planet (especially if they are square) and taking in some quiet time.
Tom, I have to agree with Jason, I too wasn't much of a fan of the bright colors, but you nailed this one! I even went back and took a second look at all the images...very, very well done. Contrast and tone are wonderful and very pleasing to the eye.
Great job!!
I have had CS3 for a couple months now and what little I have been able to play with it is simply amazing. I have been on a crazy deadline working solely in sketchup, so my usual daily photoshop grinding has been put on hold. I did import a sketchup file and play with it quite a bit and I have to say, anyone with sketchup should get extended. It's well worth the price.
No problem. If you're familar with the new CS3, you might recognize it. It actually came from Adobe when I purchased Extended, but I cut it into 2 pieces so I could stretch it across both my monitors.
So here is both pieces in .bmp form, which is too big to post here...

Enjoy.
Yep yep, already have my eye on that piece of timeless "literature".
Anyway, here is my desktop as promised...

WOOT WOOT...I'm a HUGE Calvin and Hobbes fan. I totally relate to him when I was growing up. Like most significant events in ones life, I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I found out he was going to stop publishing. Infact, I'm so dedicated to him, I actually have a tattoo on my left shoulder of them, very similar to the one with Hobbes making ears and Calvin making a funny face. I used to have all the big books, but were lost in a fire. I also had found a website that posted the daily C&H comic from that day x number of years ago. I have since lost that link.
Well, I just got back from a TERRIFIC city design meeting and I'll post my desktop in the AM.
"I'm a Glorified Kindergartner, and yes I like to color outside the lines."
Mmmm...Amaretto, Sour and OJ.
Mix randomly (I wing it every time and it's always good)
Careful, it's one of those drinks where you keep drinking till you find yourself under the table because they are so good, you don't realize you're getting hammered.
Ok, well I don't have either of those programs, but if Elements is anything like photoshop, you should be able to crop the image with the marqee tool and then image/crop, or the crop tool. Resizing should be as easy as going into image/image size and putting in a width/height. From there, you can save it down to .jpg or even .gif if it's not a photo. If it has a "save for web" like photoshop, use that and pick the 4 views. Pick the one that is smallest and looks best.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
If you want, you can send me the image and I will resize and send it back.
Wow, thanks everyone!!! I didn't even realize I had my own post..hehe. I took Friday off and of course the weekend and have been crazy busy with a project since.
With all the "heavy" posts I have read the last couple days, it was very nice to get something so cheerful.
Yes, 36, but sure don't look it or feel it. I may always be one of those 29 year olds..hehe.
As for my avatar...1 year old in that picture.
Thanks again everyone...you really brightened my day.
Granted, but it only comes in the form of those "construction" hats with the hoses to drink from.
I wish my ears would stop ringing so loud...I can't hear anything!!
Granted, you are now a caddy for the lpga.
I wish I could get a decent animation out of sketchup...GRRRR.
Granted, but as your raise your club in victory, lightning strikes it and turns you extra crispy.
I wish I could have seen todays NASCAR race instead of being in the office working.
Granted, but now your family is stuck in fast forward.
I wish I could find a happy medium between whats necessary and whats not in my perfectionist mind.
