      Thanks for the response fellas.

Cheffey: Sent PM as advised. Cheers.

Boofredlay: Please see attached. I would like to create a "dimple effect" wherever there is a node. The building must be inspired by a golf ball but there are other factors that I need to consider such as construction costs and method etc.

I think, whilst this design isn't perfect, if I could incorporate the dimples it would be OK.

    • Golf Ball. HELP!!!

      Hello

I am new here but have been using SU for around 3 months.

For a school project I have been asked to design a structure that is influenced by a golf ball. I have started with a sphere then realised a polygon is slighlty more representative of a golf ball so I have gone down that route.

However, I would like to include the "dimples" on the surface. Does anyone have any ideas how I can achieve this?? I would sooner model the effect as opposed to texturing the surface.

I have been tearing my hair out for 2 days now so I hope somebody out there can help.

      Thanks

      Steve
